REDISCOVER YOUR WHY IN ONLINE LESSONS

Do you remember why you started singing? What was the feeling? What brought you back? Singing is beautiful. It connects us in a way many things don't. It's both passion and profession, something to revel in and grow from. When things interfere with this - with our ability to connect to others or to ourselves - it matters.

An old friend once said to me, “you don't know what you don't know”. Our voice is inside; we can't see it. When things go wrong, we often don't know where to look. It could be strain, limited range, pitchiness, a lack of control… Maybe it's our limited physiologically, our lacking talent...or perhaps we don't know, what we don't know.

What if the challenges themselves are the route to improvement? The path to a freer voice - more consistent, more reliable? What if you could achieve real confidence, honest expression? What if you could know what you now don't? Where's the limit?

PRINCIPLES THAT WORK

One of the confusing things about singing is how differently we perceive instructions—how wildly results can vary from one voice to another. From the moment we’re born, we're building vocal habits. These patterns become so ingrained that when we use our voice musically, our body takes the path of least resistance—not the path towards vocal excellence.

So the pursuit becomes to recognise the gap between the sound you’re aiming for and the sound you’re actually making. This is where a vocal coach (hopefully me 😉) comes in—not only to guide you to the desired result but to give you the principles that work for you

My approach is rooted in tools combining science, artistry, and practicality. Drawing from methodologies including Speech Level Singing, Estill, and CVT. My experience as both an educator and a professional vocalist. I combine these techniques to deliver what works—for you, in your language.
